The Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) Course

The MCC Course trains pilots to operate and work on a multi crew flight deck. Qualifying for the MCC Certificate on completion of the course is an essential requirement in applying for the airlines.

The MCC course is usually taken after completion of a CPL and is a pre-requiste for a potential airline pilot. MCC training takes place in a state of the art simulator, aircraft can include the B737, B747 but will vary between each provider.

The duration of the course lasts around 8 days and will include 20 hours of flight simulator time plus classroom training. Expect a course fee of between £2,000 and £3,000.

A typical MCC Course will focus on the following elements:

  • Resource Management
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Teamwork
  • Flight Safety
  • Decision Making
  • Communication
  • Emergency Flight Procedures

The MCC Course also provides a fantastic opportunity to gain Jet Simulator time in a modern and sophisticated aircraft. It may also be possible to combine a MCC course with a type rating for the aircraft replicated by the simulator.
